Course Overview

Our series of type-training courses encompasses both theoretical and practical components focused on the airframe and powerplant. This comprehensive program covers the general maintenance and repair procedures for the R22 and R44 helicopters. Participants will engage in an in-depth review of the R22 and R44 Maintenance Manuals, with a strong emphasis on routine maintenance and repair practices. The course includes detailed descriptions of operations, component locations, and procedures for removal, installation, and troubleshooting, all aligned with maintenance manual standards.
Course Objectives:
Demonstrate a comprehensive theoretical understanding of aircraft systems and structures, highlighting their interrelationships with other systems. This includes providing detailed descriptions using theoretical principles and specific examples, as well as interpreting results from various sources and measurements to apply corrective actions when necessary.
Conduct system, engine, component, and functional checks as outlined in the maintenance manual, ensuring thorough compliance with established protocols.
Exhibit proficiency in using, interpreting, and applying relevant documentation, such as structural repair manuals and troubleshooting guides.Correlate information effectively to inform decision-making in fault diagnosis and rectification, adhering to maintenance manual standards.
Detail the procedures for replacing components unique to the specific aircraft type, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.

On completion of the theoretical and practical training course the student shall be able to demonstrate, to the levels identified in the Appendix III syllabus, the detailed theoretical knowledge of the aircraft applicable systems, structures, operations, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting according to approved maintenance data. The student shall be able to demonstrate the use of manuals, special tooling and equipment and approved procedures, including the knowledge of relevant inspections and limitations.
